A2 Culture

Do you want to know how India was so rich in ancient times? The whole of India – from north to south and from east to west there was not a single beggar and no one was starving. FAD 2019 report states that 200 million people sleep hungry daily in India and it is “NOT BY CHOICE BUT BY COMPULSION”. Only 50 to 100 years ago, only one doctor managed the entire village and kept the villagers healthy. But on average, there are 5 doctors in every street and yet one or two members are sick in every household. So, now the question that arises is that what and where did we compromise that made India so sick and poor? Let us understand it-

One common aspect is that – we all love money and health and why not? To enjoy any material happiness, we need a fair amount of money and a healthy body and the surprising part is that India had both of these things in abundance. India was the richest country in the world both mentally and physically. Then what went wrong that made us so poor and sick? There was a reason why our country was called a golden bird and we have compromised that same reason and as a result, we became a sick and poor nation. But now is the time we have to rebuild our nation as strong as earlier and emerge as a strong economy. For that, we have to bring back our long-forgotten A2 CULTURE and this can happen when you and I both join hands together and bring about this change!

Now you must be thinking what is this “A2 CULTURE”? Let us understand this:

Cows played an integral role in our lives. The entire economic, family, social and spiritual system was also based on the cow. Our house was built with cow dung and cow urine and oxen ploughed our fields. Their dung and cow urine filled our fields with grain and vegetables. Our kitchens smelled of yoghurt, butter, ghee, cheese and buttermilk from cow's milk. Our economic status was judged by the number of our cattle. The more he had, the richer he was considered. The richness of the village was derived from the dung mounds inside the village. If a cow was given as dowry in the marriage of a daughter, the king's tax was paid by giving butter. If the cow was worshipped at every Teej festival, the first bread of food would be fed to the cow. If we were healed by the five elements of cows- milk, yoghurt, cow dung, cow urine and ghee, we would get mental peace by merely contacting the cow. Every yard had a cow. Even a family photo frame was incomplete without a cow.

Our scriptures have revealed the absolute truth of every subject and these same scriptures. A cow has been given the highest place above all the gods and goddesses and pilgrimage sites; hence it is said that –

सर्वे देवा गवामङ्गे तीर्थानि तत्पदेषु च।
तद्गुह्येषु स्वयं लक्ष्मीस्तिष्ठत्येव सदा पितः।।९३।।

All the gods and goddesses reside in the body of the cow.

All the holy places reside in the hooves of the cow.

Lakshmi herself resides in cow dung.
(Krishna said this to Nanda Baba.)

Moreover, these scriptures have given the status of mother to the cow.

As mentioned in Shrimad Bhagavatam {1.14.42} we have 7 kinds of mothers:
ātma-mātā guroḥ patnī
brāhmaṇī rāja-patnikā
dhenur dhātrī tathā pṛthvī
saptaitā mātaraḥ smṛtāḥ

Translation

"One's own mother, the wife of the guru, the wife of a brāhmaṇa, the wife of a king, the cow, the nurse, and the earth are known as the seven mothers of a man."

And we must respect them all who give us everything we must show our gratitude to them. And that's how we can make this life beautiful. If we want to make life beautiful, we should thank all those whose role is crucial in our sustenance and upbringing and out of all mother is the best. Unfortunately, our education system limited our thinking only to the creator and mother earth but this is not true. If you look at the sequence of these seven mothers, the mother cow is the best. Every living or non-living burden is on Mother Earth and the one who holds Mother Earth is Gaumata.

This was about spiritual connection now let us know more facts about the same:

Two types of cows are found all over the world One is A1 and the Second is A2 Indian indigenous breed which is known as A2 Bos Indicus and foreign cow as A1 or Bos Taurus. Even today we have 30-35 breeds of the A2 breed alive, which used to be 60-70 before Independence. At the time of independence, we had 900 million cows and our population was 300 million while today there is a population of 1300 million cows only 90 million. A1 exotic cows are mainly divided into 2 parts- Holstein Friesian and Jersey.

The question is how can we identify them?

A2 cow has a hump on the back. Its throat is long and hanging. It has a long tail and a rounded back and face.

A1 cow has a flat back, small ears, horns and tail and a flat face and hindquarters.
